The Fall Career & Internship Fair: Regional Edition will allow you to connect with students and alumni from UNC Charlotte and many Charlotte-area colleges/universities: Belmont Abbey College, Davidson College, Gardner-Webb University, Johnson & Wales University, Johnson C. Smith University, Lenoir-Rhyne University, Livingstone College, Queens University, Pfeiffer University, St. Andrews College, Wingate University, and Winthrop University.

Registered organizations can recruit students from a range of majors for full-time positions, internships, co-ops, and graduate programs. We have significantly discounted fair registration fees for this event; registration fees go towards the cost of the virtual fair platform, marketing, staffing, student internship scholarships, and programming.

This virtual career fair will allow you to video and text chat with students; customize a booth with videos, social media links, and job postings; and view event reporting (including the option to download data for use in applicant tracking systems).

FAQs

**View our instructional page on how Premier Virtual works and a list of FAQs about the virtual fair experience at https://career.uncc.edu/virtualfair**

Q) What is a virtual career fair?
A) A virtual career fair attempts to replicate the in-person fair experience into an online format. Each employer has a virtual "booth" that they can customize with links, videos, social media, logos, and job postings. Candidates can view an employer's booth, learn more by viewing the information the employer has shared, and chat with an employer (via video or text-based chat).

(Q) How many candidates will attend?
(A) This is a tough question because virtual events are new to us, and we're partnering with 13 area colleges/universities.

(Q) What day should my organization attend?
(A) If your organization has opportunities in (or is seeking candidates with skills in) science, technology, engineering, math, or healthcare, attend Day 2 (Oct. 9). All other opportunities are covered by Day 1 (Oct. 8) of the event. Some organizations with broad hiring needs will attend both days. We will encourage candidates to research employers and attend the day(s) that will allow them to make the best connections. Note that few Construction Management, Civil Engineering, and clinical healthcare (such as nursing) candidates have attended past fairs.

(Q) What's the registration deadline?
(A) Generally, we don't set a registration deadline because we want to give as many employers as possible the opportunity to participate in events. However, some events sell out (as much as 4-6 weeks before the event date), and we have to close registration. For good visibility to candidates, register by September 1.

Q) How many recruiters from my organization can attend? How do I get them set up with an account to participate?
A) Each organization can have up to 10 recruiters participate. Once you're registered for the fair, you will receive access to your employer Premier Virtual account. You can easily use the account to add or remove recruiters whenever needed - even during the fair.

(Q) What event policies should I be aware of?
(A) No refunds or cancelled invoices are available after October 2, 2020; a full refund is available if cancelled on or before this date. If an employer cancels their registration after October 2, 2020, they are still responsible for paying the registration fee. This includes employers who register after October 2, 2020. All cancellations MUST be made in writing to careerfairs@uncc.edu.
Payment is required by September 24, 2020.

Q) Do all of the recruiters for an organization have to be in the same physical space to participate in the fair?
A) No, recruiters can participate in the fair from any location.
